TBR is a collective of bicycle enthusiasts committed to removing bikes from the waste stream, and putting them back into use. Join us as we build bicycle community through hands-on education.
Albany/Troy TBR has reached an important milestone. The bike rescue originally began in Troy during the summer of 2001 and has been operating as an all volunteer organization in Albany since October 2003. With the return of Andrew Lynn, Troy TBR is once again at home in its original city of Troy and Albany TBR continues its bike repair in the basement of Trinity Institution.
Eight years of continuous bike recycling is something to be very proud of and could not have been accomplished without acknowledging all those who have volunteered to keep this phenomenon alive. So here is the roll call of the early volunteers who have made this possible: Andrew L., Eric B, Jesse D, Patrick G, Robert T, Greg W, Chris G, Randy P, Devon H, Jim C, Dakota C, Gavin K, Andrew F, John L. The current crew of volunteers continues to grow. Thanks to everyone as we mark our eighth year of building a community through our mutual interest of making bicycles work.
